The physician completed internal medicine residency at Howard University and served as chief resident in the final year of training. Following fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine, the doctor established a practice in Washington D.C. and has been delivering high quality care for several decades. The preceptor holds hospital privileges at the Adventist Healthcare System. For years, the physician has been actively involved in the education of international medical students.

Dr. Desai has provided the physician with guidelines about best practices in letter writing that meet residency program requirements. In some cases, the preceptor may ask the rotator to write a letter of recommendation draft.

Testimonials
This rotation at Dr. X's clinic has been an excellent experience, especially for those interested in dermatopathology. The opportunity to read pathology slides with preceptor and see dermatology patients provides a well-rounded clinical exposure. The clinic isn't overcrowded with students, which allows for substantial one-on-one time with Dr. X and other staff members, all of whom are exceptionally welcoming and committed to teaching. Furthermore, Dr. X's enthusiasm for pathology is contagious, and the clinic's setup, including a mini class with its own microscope and extensive educational materials, offers a unique learning environment. This rotation is an invaluable opportunity for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of dermatopathology.
