Question 2

What are the requirements to join your Rotation Program?

Accepted Answer

There are a few requirements to take part in our rotation program. 
 
1.) Submit some basic information using the "Get Started" button or go to our apply ()page.
2.) Follow the email instructions to set up a free introductory meeting, after applying.
3.) Have a valid visa that legally allows you to enter the United States.
4.) Be a medical graduate or current student in good standing.

Please note that we do not require any USMLE Step or English proficiency exams to take part in our program.

How much do your rotations cost?

We are very transparent with all our prices. There are no hidden fees or surprise costs for our rotations. Our pricing per 4-week rotation (as of September 15th, 2025) are as follows:

​$ 3795 (includes liability insurance)
 
Please note that discounts are offered for multiple rotation purchases ($ 200 discount for the second rotation, $ 300 discount for the third rotation, $ 400 discount for the fourth rotation and additional rotations). Liability insurance is included in this cost for all clients and for all rotations (excluding pathology and tele-rotations).

• All patient care activities will be done under the supervision of the preceptor physician. The exact activities are specific to each rotation and can be found on the individual rotation description page.
 • A rotation is secured upon receiving a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 from the applicant. 
 • The balance of the payment is required to be paid 45 days before the start date of the rotation. If this payment is not completed on time, the secured rotation may become unavailable. 
 • In the event of an unexpected cancellation by the physician, an alternate rotation will be proposed by MD2B Connect with an emphasis of trying to maintain the same specialty and location. If an alternate cannot be agreed upon by both parties, MD2B Connect will refund payment.

Question 4

How soon can I start the rotation?

Before you can start the rotation, we like to have an introductory meeting to get know more about your goals and background, explain our process to you, and answer any questions you may have. After the meeting, it typically takes about 8 weeks to setup the rotation.

Question 5

Do you offer visa assistance?

Accepted Answer

We accept various different visas including B1/B2. For IMGs requiring a B-1 visa letter, an invitation letter addressed to the applicant can be provided once the rotation deposit is paid and the rotation is secured. MD2B Connect does not write letters for or sponsor other visas.

Question 6

Do you offer housing assistance?

Accepted Answer

We do not take part in any direct involvement with booking housing. However, once you've identified a place you'd like to stay, we may be able to inform you on the convenience and safety of the location.

Question 7

Will a letter of recommendation be offered?

Accepted Answer

Yes, assuming that the rotator meets the expectations of the rotation. Dr. Desai will provide the physician with guidelines which will improve the quality of the letter. Please note that, in some cases, preceptors may ask their students to submit a letter of recommendation draft.

Question 8

Will my LOR be on hospital letterhead?

Accepted Answer

Hospital versus clinic letterhead varies depending on the rotation. However, we do not base our rotation recommendation on hospital letterhead. We believe that the quality and fit for the rotation is most important.

Question 9

How many people will be in my rotation with me?

Accepted Answer

Our rotations tend to consist of smaller groups, typically 5 or less. Some situations are out of our control as preceptors will take in learners from US med schools, residency programs, etc. at their own discretion. If we know it's going to be a larger group we try to add it in the rotation descriptions. The number of rotators may vary during peak periods throughout the year.

Do you offer any discounts?

The only discounts we offer are for multiple rotation purchases ($ 200 discount for the second rotation, $ 300 discount for the third rotation, $ 400 discount for the fourth rotation and additional rotations).

Question 11

What if I already have liability insurance?

Accepted Answer

If you already have your own liability insurance, you will first need to send documentation of this to our team to verify. Once we have received and verified that documentation, we will provide a one-time $200 discount. This discount will be processed as a refund once you make your final payment and submit all required documents.

Question 12

Can I use your rotations towards academic/educational credit at my medical school?

Accepted Answer

Possibly, but our rotations are not designed to be used towards academic or educational credit. The main purpose of our rotation program is for U.S. and international medical students/graduates to gain valuable U.S. clinical experience in hopes of obtaining a spot in a U.S. medical residency program. However, if the paperwork your medical school requires is simple, we may be able to do that. If it’s more extensive, then we will need to discuss on a case-by-case basis.
