For years, the doctor has been actively involved in the education of international medical students from different schools. The preceptor describes his rotation in the following manner:
I have been in practice for over 30 years...I have a large amount of patients with different diagnoses so students have a very wide spectrum to learn from. Our staff is very friendly, and are willing to learn from and work with new students. They value the opportunity.

Taking patient histories under supervision.
Examining patients under supervision.
Presenting patients.
Having opportunities to research the literature to answer clinical questions at the point of care.
Educating the patient.
Teaching other team members.
Spending time with other healthcare professionals to understand their roles and responsibilities.
Who should consider this rotation:

How to obtain a letter of recommendation:
The rotator should ask the preceptor for a LOR near the conclusion of the rotation. Dr. Desai has provided the physician with guidelines about best practices in letter writing that meet residency program requirements. In some cases, the preceptor may ask the rotator to write a letter of recommendation draft.
During the rotation:
Our team will be checking in periodically with you to ensure that you are having an optimal experience. We encourage you to contact us if you have any questions during the rotation.
Testimonials
The strength of this rotation is that we get to see how residency programs work at close quarters. We get to
know the ins and outs of Internal Medicine and everything a resident is supposed to know. The rotation offers good in-patient exposure. Everyone was kind and welcoming, the residents were lovely and the preceptor was knowledgeable and had great leadership qualities. The doctor also speaks eloquently and gives good opportunities to present in the social rounds and morning rounds. I also had the opportunity to present at noon conference which i thought was a wonderful experience.
