Testimonials
Dr. X is a very responsible and dedicated physician, as well as an excellent preceptor. The doctor has broad medical knowledge and builds strong, trusting relationships with patients. Every day I learned a lot, especially practical management of common conditions such as hypertension, back pain, and diabetes. Dr. X is also engaging and skilled at guiding students back to key clinical questions.
The rotation was well-structured. We would start on Zoom, where Dr. X would briefly review the patient’s history, then take me into the exam room via video to observe real-time interactions, including history taking, physical exams (e.g., blood pressure measurement), and prescribing. When time allowed, the doctor would explain clinical reasoning for specific diseases.
This rotation gave me a clear understanding of American primary care workflows and medical practice styles, which will be very helpful for my future residency application. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from Dr. X.
