Monday - Friday 9 AM to 5 PM (please note that this will be approximately 30 hours of clinical time with the remaining time spent on reading assignments)

Outpatient US Clinical Experience in Pediatrics

What you will do:

You will work with a pediatrician who is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He has attained the status of Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics which is offered to a select group of pediatricians by the largest professional society of pediatrics. This is a highly-rated physician who has been recognized by children and their families for providing quality care that is personalized and safe. He holds a staff appointment at Children's Medical Center Dallas. Previously, he was a faculty member at the Children's Hospital Milwaukee. He has also practiced in Chicago and California.

In this outpatient clinic, you will take on an increasing role in patient encounters under the preceptor's supervision and learn the care of newborns, infants, toddlers, elementary-age children, and adolescents. Among the encounters will be newborn visits, well child exams, vaccination appointments, and growth

International medical graduates (IMGs) and students seeking US clinical experience in pediatrics. IMGs seeking careers in family medicine will also find this rotation particularly useful.
