Outpatient US Clinical Experience in Allergy & Immunology
What you will do:
You will learn from a physician who is affiliated with Memorial Hermann Hospital, West Houston Medical Center, and Methodist St. Catherine. He is highly regarded for delivering compassionate, high quality care.
In the mornings, you will see patients in his office. After a few days of observation, you will take on an increasing role in patient encounters and learn the following under the preceptor’s supervision:​

Taking patient histories.
Performing physical exams under the physician's supervision.
Presenting patients.
Writing or entering clinic notes in the EMR.
Have opportunities to research the literature to answer clinical questions at the point of care.
Have opportunities to give talks about important topics.<
Who should consider this rotation:
International medical graduates (IMGs) and students seeking US clinical experience. IMGs seeking careers in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics will find this rotation particularly useful since allergy problems are common in outpatient practice.
