Monday 9 AM to 5 PM (outpatient); Tuesday 9 AM to 5 PM (outpatient); Wednesday 9 AM to 5 PM (Surgery Center); Thursday and Friday (inpatient). A car will be needed for this rotation.

Inpatient/Outpatient US Clinical Experience in Vascular Surgery

What you will do:

This is an inpatient and outpatient experience during which you will be under the supervision of a physician who is board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He is on staff at Covenant HealthCare, Ascension St. Mary's Hospital, and McLaren Bay Region Hospital. He is involved in the education of internal medicine residents from Central Michigan University and teaches vascular medicine to these trainees. This preceptor is an international medical graduate and very familiar with the challenges that IMGs face in reaching their professional goals. The preceptor enjoys mentoring others, and has spoken and written about how IMGs can be successful. ​
