Inpatient/Outpatient US Clinical Experience in Pain Medicine
What you will do:
You will be under the supervision of a board-certified anesthesiologist who also completed a pain medicine fellowship. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and has presented his research at anesthesiology meetings across the country. He has developed expertise in cutting-edge interventional pain procedures and utilizes his breadth of knowledge and technical ability to provide relief to patients suffering from pain. He believes that all patients should be treated as if they were family, and strives to instill the same feeling in future physicians. He is a staff member at CHI/St. Joseph Health and Physician's Center Hospital.

You will see patients in his office (approximately 20-25 patients are seen per day) and also accompany him to the hospital. After a few days of observation, you will take on an increasing role in patient encounters and learn the following under the preceptor’s supervision:​
