Inpatient/Outpatient US Clinical Experience in Family Medicine
What you will do:
You will be under the supervision of a board-certified family medicine physician who holds hospital appointments at the following institutions:

​University Medical Center
Valley Hospital Medical Center
North Vista Hospital
Torrey Pines Rehabilitation Hospital
He is widely regarded as an excellent educator, and he makes teaching a priority. You will spend time in his office seeing patients. On several days of the week, you will accompany the preceptor on hospital rounds.

After a few days of observation, you will take on an increasing role in patient encounters and learn the following under the preceptor’s supervision:​

Taking patient histories.

International medical graduates (IMGs) and students seeking US clinical experience in family medicine. IMGs seeking experience in the inpatient setting as well as hospice/home visits will also find this rotation appealing.
